The Liminal Psyche

The Liminal Space psychologically speaking is a space of transition between the old ways of being and the emerging new. Considering we are always in a state of becoming (the psyche isn't static) we are always in the liminal space. And to choose to engage more purposefully is to join the heart beat of life.

I have a Master Degree in Psychosynthesis Psychology and I am a qualified counsellor with a Diploma in Psychosynthesis Counselling. I have also completed my Psychosynthesis Leadership Coaching an EMCC accredited training.

I am deeply interested in the existential questions of life, this questioning has engaged me on a journey that has danced with many traditions and motivated my studies. These traditions and studies include, Holotropic-Breathwork, Psychosynthesis, Non-dual practices, Buddhism and some of my fondest memories are from a 3 week Ayahuasca Retreat in Peru with traditional Shipibo Shamans.

Psychosynthesis

Psychosynthesis is an integrative psychology that draws upon many theories including Humanistic, Jungian, Sub-Personalities, Psychodynamic, Eastern Philosophies and spiritual traditions it then synthesises those into its meta theory. Synthesis is the bringing together of opposites to create a more integrated whole.

Some core aspects of Psychosynthesis are the inclusion of the spiritual or transpersonal dimension. This isn't some abstract concept but is very much grounded in the reality of the pull towards self-actualisation and the evolution of consciousness as well as our connection to purpose, meaning and values.

Psychosynthesis recognises at the core of the self is a centre of consciousness and will. This means we have the freedom to disidentify from contents of consciousness and use will to skilfully choose actions. We are not victims and we can gain choice and strength.

EMBRACE IMPERMANANCE

At The Liminal Psyche, I understand the power of embracing change and the transformative journey it can lead to. My psychotherapeutic counselling and coaching services offer individuals the opportunity to delve into the unknown parts of themselves, to explore their inner depths, and to emerge with a newfound sense of self and purpose.Change can be intimidating, but it is in these moments of transition that we often find our truest selves. By stepping into the unknown, we create the space for growth, healing, and self-discovery. It is in this liminal space that we can shed old patterns, beliefs, and fears, and make room for new insights, perspectives, and possibilities.

One-to-one sessions provide a confidential and supportive environment where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences with a trained professional. Through deep reflection, introspection, and dialogue, you can navigate the challenges of change and begin to uncover the sacred space within yourself. Finding your sacred space is a unique and personal journey. It may involve letting go of outdated narratives, embracing vulnerability, and cultivating self-compassion. It requires courage, patience, and a willingness to explore the depths of your being. But the rewards are profound – a deeper connection to yourself, a sense of purpose and meaning, and a newfound appreciation for the richness of life.

As you navigate the waves of change in your life, remember that the process of transformation is sacred. It is a journey of self-discovery, growth, and empowerment. Embrace the unknown, trust in your ability to adapt and evolve, and allow yourself to find your sacred space within. In the liminal space of change, you may just discover the true essence of who you are.
